Muse bracht de LP Absolution voor het eerst uit in 2003. Dit is een heruitgave naar aanleiding van de 20ste verjaardag. De box bevat 3 LP's en 2 CD's. Op de eerste 2 LP's (zilverkleurig) staat de remasterde uitvoering van het originele album. Op de derde LP (transparant vinyl) staan herwerkte of live uitvoeringen van de nummers. Op de 2 CD's staan dezelfde nummers als op de 3 LP's.
Absolution zorgde voor het eerste succes van Muse in de Verenigde Staten. Het was het eerste album van de Britse groep dat de hitparades haalde in het land van Uncle Sam. In Europa was Muse toen al bekender. In Engeland haalde het de eerste plaats in de album charts.
